REVIVE YOUR STRENGTH

Whoa, it's been a minute since I've written a blog....Gotta admit, I'm not exactly sure what to write.

How are you? How are managing amongst all the chaos?

I don't know about you, but I've hit the energy and productivity wall many times over the past 7 months. Riding the waves while trying to stay afloat has been exhausting. My clients, family and friends have been sharing their personal experiences of duress, adaption and hope. Though there have been a few silver linings (which I will share of my own in an upcoming blog) people are suffering financially, physically, mentally and emotionally...corona and political fatigue.

During school drop off for my son the other day, a hybrid model, I caught a quick glimpse of myself in the rear-view mirror and froze. I barely recognized myself, I could see in my eyes the accumulation of raw emotions. The extrovert and empath that I am was feeling like my light had dimmed. Can you relate?

REVIVE YOUR STRENGTH concept came to me while I was brainstorming names for an upcoming program. Though I've been staying active throughout these months, I have to remind myself, these have been unprecedented times.

My training has become as fragmented as my current daily work/life schedule and that's ok.

I think the vast majority of us are missing our old work/life/family routines. We've adapted, sure, but are we thriving? We are certainly creatures of habit. Like most, my daily habits have been flipped upside down for months.

How do we get ourselves back - How do we revive our strength? (especially going into the dark winter months) Maybe we...

  1. Exhale the bullshit

  2. Reconnect with our partners, children, family and friends (and what I mean by reconnect is, being truly present in the moment) Reconnect with your community too

  3. Quality sleep of course and quality food (I recently took up intermittent fasting; more on that another time)

  4. Get MOVING!!! Move well and move often. The days of long workouts in the gym have been on freeze for me since March. I have lost some of my gains, maybe, yet in some ways I am stronger...Make use with what you got. You don't need a lot of space or equipment. Right now, it's about reclaiming your health and wellbeing. Movement is medicine. Short on time or energy, create 2 movement breaks a day. I fit in what I can and keep it efficient and effective.

  5. Get out in nature! Any chance you get , get outside and explore! I recently spent a weekend hiking in the Berkshires during peek foliage ( absolutely beautiful)

So friends, hang in there. Day by day, we got this...Keep on keepin' on!

Please feel free to reach out by dropping me an email or a dm.
